Private Dining and Group Bookings

Some occasions call for a proper table, the right food and a room that holds the conversation well. Karahui on Martinborough's town square is where friends, family and colleagues come to together celebrate, catch-up and everything in between.

The space is warm and full of character — original vault, Tōtara floors, handmade chandeliers — and our team genuinely enjoys looking after people.

Private Dining: Karahui has a private vault that can accommodate 6-8 people for those wanting a dedicated space to connect.

Floating Tables: We have a flexible seating design within the restaurant which allows us to configure tables to ensure groups can enjoy Karahui’s ambience whilst being able to make themselves heard.

Large Group Bookings (+15-60pax): If you're organising a corporate function, wedding or team dinner or a celebration that needs a little more coordination, please get in touch directly. We'll work with you to make it happen.

Depending on group size and timing, we can offer shared & set menu arrangements that make the evening flow without fuss — everyone eats well, nobody waits around.

Good to know…We cater for all dietary requirements including gluten free, dairy free, vegan and vegetarian. Our wine list is built around the best of the Wairarapa, with Martinborough Pinot Noir, Sauvignon Blanc and Rosé alongside a curated selection from further afield. We also offer tasting flights, craft beers and spirits. We're on Martinborough's town square, which means your guests can walk from their accommodation. if you require accommodation, we have our own accommodation at the Chambers and work closely with accommodation providers around town and will be able to help should you need it.

We're open Tuesday to Saturday from 3pm. For groups we recommend booking at least two to three weeks ahead, especially for Friday and Saturday evenings. Last-minute enquiries are also welcome!
