Our wine list is thoughtfully chosen to complement our seasonal menus. You will find a blend of much-loved local favorites from Martinborough as well as guest wines from further afield. Whether its a bright Sauvignon Blanc, a silky Pinot Noir or a crisp Rosé, there’s something here to suit every palate. If wine is not your thing we also have a wide selection of curated tasting flights, draft craft beers, spirits and non alcoholic beverages for you to enjoy.
The Space
Karahui is located at the former BNZ Gold Bank - built in 1909 - standing prominently on the town square. When designing the interior for Karahui, we wanted to create a setting that was classy without being pretentious; one where people could talk without having to shout to be heard, a place where we could proudly exhibit the talent of our community.
We have preserved many of the original features such as the vault, intricate pressed ceilings, Kanuka wood flooring, and exposed brick work. We have also ensured the restaurant isn’t packed tight so you can have enough space to breathe and acoustic buffers ensure you can hear the person next to you but not the table far away.
Look out for pictures by local renowned artists such as Don Hill, handmade chandeliers from Crystal Chain Gang, hand screen printed wallpaper from Ben Masters, and many other creatives.
