Wedding Lunches & Morning Gatherings at Karahui

Tucked inside one of Martinborough’s beautiful heritage buildings on the town square, Karahui is a relaxed and intimate place to gather around good food and wine with the people who matter most.

While we’re not a traditional wedding venue, we love being part of the celebrations around it. Whether it’s a long lunch after the ceremony, a quiet dinner for two after eloping, or a laid-back breakfast the next morning with family and friends, we’re here to help make it feel easy.

What We Offer

Wedding Lunches & Shared Gatherings
Available Tuesday through Saturday for smaller groups wanting to celebrate together without too much formality. We can offer shared-style menus or set menus for groups of around 8–25 guests, designed to feel relaxed and generous while keeping service flowing smoothly.

The Morning After
For guests staying locally, we can also arrange relaxed group breakfasts on Saturday or Sunday mornings.

Larger Groups
For celebrations over 25 guests, please get in touch directly. We’re always happy to chat through options and see what might work best for your group.

A Few Things to Know

We’re happy to cater for dietary requirements including gluten free, dairy free, vegetarian and vegan options — just let us know when enquiring.

Our wine list celebrates the Wairarapa, with a thoughtful selection of local Martinborough wines alongside a few favourites from further afield.

Being right on the Martinborough square means many guests can easily walk from nearby accommodation, including our boutique apartments at The Chambers Studio Apartments.

For wedding-related gatherings, we recommend reaching out a couple of months ahead where possible, especially for Fridays and Saturdays, though we’ll always do our best to accommodate last-minute enquiries if we can.
