Wedding Lunches & Breakfasts at Karahui A heritage restaurant on Martinborough's town square — for the meal that follows the moment. Karahui isn't a wedding venue. We don't host ceremonies, and we're not the place for a hundred-guest reception. What we are is somewhere a smaller wedding party can sit down to enjoy a proper meal and for families to get to know each other either before or after the formal bit is done. Whether it's a lunch the day of the ceremony, an elopement dinner for two, or a relaxed breakfast the morning after — Karahui's heritage dining room handles intimate wedding meals beautifully.

What we can do Wedding lunches — Tuesday through Saturday until pm. Set menus or shared family-style for groups of 8 to 25, designed so the meal flows without fuss and nobody waits around. The morning after — Saturday and Sunday breakfasts can be arranged for groups staying nearby. Coffee, real food, no hurry. Larger wedding parties (25+) — possible with notice, but please get in touch directly so we can talk you through what works.

Good to know We cater for all dietary requirements including gluten free, dairy free, vegan and vegetarian — just let us know what you need when you get in touch. Our wine list is built around the best of the Wairarapa: Martinborough Pinot Noir, Sauvignon Blanc and Rosé alongside a curated selection from further afield. We're on Martinborough's town square, so your guests can walk from their accommodation. We have our own boutique rooms at The Chambers Apartments directly across the square. For wedding lunches, we recommend booking two to three months ahead, particularly for Fridays and Saturdays. Last-minute enquiries welcome where we can fit you in.
